Fall New Student Experience

Congratulations! Welcome to the University of New Orleans!

Our New Student Experience is designed to welcome new Privateers to the University of New Orleans! Through each step of the process, students will be prepared to succeed at UNO while discovering how to live and learn in the community. See below for our 3-step process to get started on your journey as a new Privateer!

Registration Day

Step One is designed help you get started! Now that you're a Privateer, we're ready to introduce you to campus and get you enrolled in classes. Attending a Registration Day is required for all incoming first time, full time freshmen and new transfer students with less than 60 credit hours and/or under the age of 25.

Online Orientation Modules

Step Two is designed to help you learn more about different parts of campus at your own pace. You'll learn more about services we offer and things to do while you're here. It will take about an hour to click through and complete this required module. 

Fall MAMBO

Step Three is designed to help you start your classes on the right foot and to make the most of your Privateer experience! We'll help you find your place on campus.  Fall MAMBO is required for all first time, first year students and is recommended for incoming Fall 2026 transfer students.
